CONSERVATION, NATURE, FASHION AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
FION is collaborating with 50 inheritors of horsetail embroidery, a special craft passed down for thousands of years, to launch the AVATAR series. We aim to conserve nature and exploremore possibilities for sustainable fashion.
According to James Cameron, director of Avatar: An Activist Survival Guide, animals and plants on Pandora are huge and glow in the dark because they have developed gigantism and luminescence due to air pollution.
A gorgeous world of Avatar is woven with yarns of seven different colors and fluorescent green yarns. The fluorescence adds fantasy to colorful marine life. 3D aquatic plants on the front are created with time-honored horsetail embroidery skills. The process of making a horsetail embroidery work is very detailed. It takes a skillful embroiderer with 20 years of experience 10 hours to finish a piece as small as a child’s palm.
The most touching scene in Avatar 2 is that th rotect their race, which demonstrates love and courage. FION presents this scene on its bags after discussions with producers of the film. We substitute colors in the movie with different shades of blue to arouse environmental awareness.
Well-structured, refined and spacious, it is a perfect choice for work and travel.
With a sleek angular body and a detachable shoulder strap, it matches your outfit both day and night.
